USCCA Conceal Carry & Home Defense

This firearms training course is for current CCW holders. Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive course for anyone who is considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense.

The course – held in San Diego, CA – is a complete guide to understanding conflict avoidance, situational awareness, home security and more. This is an 8-hour course with classroom instruction and live fire range instruction.

The course fee includes targets and a Certificate of Course Completion, which will meet the training requirement for some CCW permits.  

The course is a complete guide to understanding the following:

• Conflict avoidance and situational awareness

• Home security and home defense

• Handgun, shotgun and AR-15 basics

• Shooting fundamentals

• The physiology of violent encounters

• The legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath)

• And a complete guide on gear, gadgets, and ongoing training

This class provides students a great opportunity to refresh their skills and knowledge with currently accepted techniques. 

Students will earn a Certificate of Course Completion.

Valid driver’s license or ID

(!) The instructor requires a copy of your driver's license once you register.

The course fee includes targets and a Certificate of Course Completion, which will meet the training requirement for some CCW permits. 

Range fees and course book are not included. Course book can be purchased in class or online from USCCA 

Students will need:

• A quality semi-automatic pistol or revolver. (Or, one can be rented at the range.)

• Optional: A holster and belt. Appendix carry is not allowed in this class.

• At least 1 working magazine (2 are preferred)

• At least 150 rounds of ammunition (200 preferred)

• Ear and eye protection

• Optional: Sunscreen and bug spray

• Lots of water

• Food and snacks

• Clothing suitable for inclement weather

• Notebook and pen or pencil
