The USCCA Basic Handgun course – hosted in San Diego, CA – teaches self-reliance through a variety of topics such as basic firearm safety, pistol operation, malfunctions and more.

The firearms training course fees include targets and a Certificate of Course Completion, which will meet the training requirement for some CCW permits.

Range fees and course book are not included. Course book can be purchased in class or online from USCCA


Students will need:
  • Pen or pencil and notebook
  • A quality semi-automatic pistol or revolver. (One can also be rented at the range.)
  • Optional: A holster and belt. Appendix carry is not allowed in this class.
  • At least 1 working magazine (2 are preferred)
  • At least 150 rounds of ammunition (200 preferred)
  • Ear and eye protection
