NRA Rifle Instructor Courses

An NRA Rifle Instructor Course combines classroom learning with practical range experience to teach prospective instructors how to train others on using a rifle.

Students in these courses will learn NRA methodology for firearms training, with specific focus on rifle instruction. Each course is taught by a certified NRA firearms instructor.

NRA rifle instructor courses include:

  • NRA safety fundamentals
  • Rifle cleaning, maintenance, and ammunition
  • Shooting
  • Stance and position variations

Once the course is complete, you’ll be able to take the NRA rifle instructor test and receive your course completion card.

Note that successfully completing Basic NRA instructor training may be a requirement for this class.
